Our Career Technical Initiative (CTI) team had the immense privilege of attending the North Shore Regional Career Fair, where we were energized by the synergies between employers and student participants! The NightHawks Adult Education Program, Salem Technical Institute & Career Technical Initiative, and the Lynn Technical Initiative collaborated to bring together over 60 employers to connect with CTI students. This event was made possible by the dedication and partnership of the MassHire North Shore Career Center—big kudos to their team!
CTI, managed under CommCorp on behalf of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development and the Workforce Skills Cabinet, addresses the persistent demand for workers in manufacturing and construction/trades by expanding training capacity for Massachusetts residents. This program utilizes high schools with Chapter 74 vocational programs, providing evening and weekend training to unemployed and underemployed individuals. Through CTI, adult students earn industry-recognized credentials in fields such as Auto Tech, Building and Property Maintenance, Construction, Electro-Mechanical Assembly, HVAC, and Welding.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the employers who participated and supported this event! Now, let’s get these skilled individuals into the workforce!
