Career Navigation

Desarrollo de Liderazgo, Empleo & Defensa / Un programa de formación para el desarrollo profesional de los jóvenes

Resumen

Career Navigators (CN) are responsible for providing a foundation of life skills, career development, and workforce training. They support all career exploration through the coordination of and implementation of a variety of activities throughout residential and community settings. Career Navigators will build on opportunities and experiences as youth progress through services, including job shadowing, on-the-job training, certification opportunities, and other real-world exposure where you can develop, apply, and demonstrate skill development based on the youth’s career plan to lead to successful market employment.

The Career Technical Initiative (CTI) has been a welcomed training model to stimulate talent pipelines and fuel innovation for technical roles in manufacturing and construction/skilled trades. The program provides Massachusetts residents who are unemployed or underemployed with training opportunities by using the state’s existing resources at vocational high schools, while simultaneously helping businesses grow by increasing the number of skilled workers able to be employed in trade and construction jobs.
