SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

October 28, 2024: Over the past few years, we have seen unprecedented levels of participation in Workforce Training Fund Programs (WTFP), and as a result, Commonwealth Corporation is implementing policy changes with the goal of extending WTFP grant resources while efficiently serving more businesses.

Additionally, WTFP’s General Program will undergo application updates which will require a scheduled blackout from November 15, 2024, at 5:00 PM to December 3, 2024. Learn more here.

While available to Massachusetts businesses of all sizes, the WTFP focuses on small to medium-sized businesses that would not be able to invest in improving employee skills without the assistance of the Fund.

The Workforce Training Fund Program helps address business productivity and competitiveness by providing resources to Massachusetts businesses to fund training for current and newly hired employees. In order for the Massachusetts economy to prosper, our businesses need access to a pipeline of skilled workers so they can stay competitive and continue to grow.

Programa Exprés (Express Program)

El Programa Exprés proporciona a los empleadores un acceso rápido y simple a capacitaciones financiadas con subvenciones, lo que facilita a las empresas de Massachusetts la posibilidad de responder a nuevas necesidades. El programa está diseñado para ayudar a las empresas a responder rápidamente a los cambios y mantener a los empleados comprometidos con la empresa. Programa General

The General Program supports any size Massachusetts business that requires larger scale funding for customized and strategic training to upskill or reskill employees. Applicants work with training vendors of their choice to deliver a training plan that supplements their workforce needs but does not replace traditional workplace investments. The priority of the General Program is to increase company productivity, competitiveness, and ability to do business in Massachusetts.

General Program Bridge Grant

The General Program ESOL Bridge Grant is designed to provide English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to continue through the 1 year waiting period between the General Program grants. You are eligible if your organization has recently completed or will complete a General Program grant supporting English language learners in your workforce.

Technical Assistance Grant

On a very limited basis, the Workforce Training Fund Program may provide technical assistance grants to increase training opportunities to employees.
