Commonwealth Corporation has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) for partnerships seeking to improve workforce outcomes for young adults with disabilities. Approximately $900,000 in grant funding is available through the Employment Programs for Young Adults with Disabilities (YAWD). The average anticipated grant award will be $150,0000 to $200,000. This state-funded initiative is administered by the Commonwealth Corporation on behalf of The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD). We are seeking applications from partnerships led by a community-based organization with demonstrated success in preparing young adults with disabilities for employment and providing support once the individuals are placed in a position to promote retention. The Employment Programs for Young Adults with Disabilities Program is funded through a General Appropriation Act in the Fiscal Year 2024 State Budget (7003-0607).
