YouthWorks Summer 2017 Application Package

The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development and Commonwealth Corporation are pleased to announce the release of the YouthWorks Summer 2017 application package. Eligible applicants are limited to the state’s 16 local Workforce Development Boards and/or their fiscal partners.

Funds have been targeted to the cities in Massachusetts that have the highest numbers of youth in poverty, where low-income youth are especially in need of ensuring access to summer job opportunities.  These cities are part of a larger “workforce investment region” represented by a Workforce Development Board.

Applicants are limited to the state’s 16 local area Workforce Development Boards and/or their fiscal partners listed below.

YouthWorks is an initiative of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD), in support of Governor Charles Baker’s effort to improve workforce outcomes for young adults, a population that is significantly detached from the workforce.  This program is funded through Line Item No. 7002–0012 of the FY2017 state budget.
